Sponsored post/video: The Gift of Intimacy

I grew up not paying much attention to fragrances or the fascinating psychological factors behind scents. But after a few good years working in a fashion magazine company, I became more educated and interested in the topic mainly because of these 2 reasons.

1. Smell can trigger emotions and memories.
And it's absolutely true. I finished up one whole bottle of my favourite fragrance then when I was an intern at Harper's Bazaar Malaysia. I would spritz it on my pulse points every morning before I head off to the office. Until this day, whenever I pick up the scent at Sephora again, all the memories and feelings will fill me up instantly. Hence, I always try to wear a specific fragrance for a special occasion (i.e. birthdays, vacations, graduation, etc) so this way I can have a library of memories and be able to relive the moment whenever I want to.

2. You can smell the perfect partner.
I don't remember where I read this from and I can't vouch that it's 100% scientifically proven but it is said that if you smell good to your partner and vice versa, it means the both of you possess good genes for reproduction; in short, you guys can make great babies (LOL!). I'm not sure how true it is because I've never had a child but I know for sure that I might love how my boyfriend smells (without any additional perfume), yet other people might not feel the same way as I do.

Would I be able to tell my other half apart from a group of men just by using my sense of smell? Honestly, I'm not super confident about it but check out these 2 couples in the videos below who managed to.

It's quite nerve-wrecking...

After watching the videos, I might not know if I would be able to recognise my partner just by his scent, but I definitely know how I'd like my man to smell like and it's something along the line of masculine, mysterious and sexy. Comment down below and let me know which 3 words you would use to describe your ideal man's scent!
