My New Skincare Essential

Ok, this is the thing about me, I have so many blog posts lined up in folders on my Macbook desktop, approaching their deadlines, waiting for their turn to be up on this site, but the queue somehow always gets cut by exciting new things that happen in my life because I can never contain my excitement and HAVE TO post the newer, funner, more interesting thing up first before the fire in me gets extinguished; and in this case, it is this...

Yes, I finally took the bait and splurged on this ultimate cleansing device, which is the Clarisonic Mia 2. I've been going back and forth about this because of the price, as it is definitely not the cheapest thing you can purchase, but the overwhelming positive reviews online (@essiebutton to be specific because I always feel like buying whatever product she mentions in her videos, watch what she thinks about the Clarisonic Mia 2 in her Aug faves video below) really got to me, so I asked the Universe for a sign on whether I should purchase it, yes clearly I am too obsessed with the power of the Universe #teamsecret. And very creepily, my mom passed me an envelope from Sephora that was addressed to me the very next day with my brand new Sephora Black card along with a 10% off voucher, and that was the moment I gave in and thought to myself, YES, THIS IS MY CALLING. So I went to Sephora right away and bought it, and I don't regret a single bit.

I know most of you who knows me personally might be thinking why the hell would I be needing this, but let me be honest, time has changed, my skin isn't as youthful anymore, I am required to wear makeup more frequently than before, and I am under more stress compared to when I was in school, so as expected, my skin is facing a lot more issues than it used to.

After using the Clarisonic Mia 2 twice. Zero makeup and filter, taken indoor under natural sunlight with Sony Nex-5T.

I don't have problems with severe acne or anything major whatsoever, but I do get very textured, bumpy, congested skin most of the time and I've tried so many ways to try and get rid of them but nothing really works to diminish them completely. I have blogged about how I had pretty badly congested skin and how facials helped me fixed the problem sometime ago which you can read here, and the reason I opt to purchase a Clarisonic instead of going back to facials is because of the pain, how I have to wear the scars on my face for weeks until it clears up completely, how time and money consuming it is, it just isn't the most convenient for me in the long run.

I wish I can brag about how much awesomeness the Clarisonic has done me, but I only recently purchased it and used it twice, so I can't say much about it yet as my skin hasn't improved if not worsen because that tends to happen to people who just started to use the device, and the reason behind it is that the Clarisonic actually brings out all the gunk that might have been living underneath the epidermal layer, so once you get through that breakout, detoxing phase, your skin will become the best it has ever been.

I got mine from Sephora Sunway Pyramid and the Mia 2 was available only in white, black and baby pink and of course I couldn't resist and got the pink one. It comes with a travel case, travel size cleanser and wall charger which is the coolest thing ever because it is magnetic and it just sticks on to the handle like magic. I am still trying to get used to this new introduction to my skincare routine and learn more about it, so if you wish to know more about the Clarisonic Mia 2, I find Jaclyn Hill's review video attached below the most thorough and helpful.

If you're already in the Clarisonic clan, let me know your experience with it and whether you had a breakout phase as mentioned :)
