The Power of Cheon Song Yi

I never thought that this day would come, but I finally fell for celebrity endorsement, HARD.

If you're already a fan of the Korean drama My Love From Another Star, you should know what I'm talking about, and if you haven't got to watching it, DON'T! You'll start spending money on things you never thought you'll need. I'm kidding, please watch so we can swoon over it together.

So, in the drama, the main girl, Cheon Song Yi's makeup is just this very simple minimalistic do with minimal eye make and dewy skin, but the focus would always be on her lips, not being able to splurge on her most worn Jimmy Choo glitter pumps, I decided to get my hands on something smaller and cheaper instead. Also, because of her, I started getting very much into lip products which I honestly think it might get slightly out of control anytime soon.

Before I start blabbering about how amazing this lipstick is, here's a little disclaimer, I'M DEFINITELY NOT PAID TO SAY THIS.

The legendary Serum Intense Lipstick from Laneige, though it isn't the exact shade (Neon Orange) that Cheon Song Yi wore in the drama, but I am perfectly happy with the colour that I got, which is Flair Magenta.

I'm only wearing one layer in the picture above but the product is very much buildable for your desired colour intensity. So, what's so great about this lipstick that I can't go on a day without it? I won't get much into the obvious as it has a nickname called LED lipstick because it does a great job brightening up your face. Other than that, I love it because it's somehow like a lipstick and lipgloss and liptint all in one. On the first application in the beginning of the day, the lipstick feels really silky smooth, it would still move around and stain your cup when you're drinking, but probably around mid day, it leaves a BEAUTIFUL stain on your lips without leaving dry patches like normal liptints do. WHY DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT THIS EARLIER?!

I wish words can express how freaking much I love love love this lipstick >.<

The Clio Lipnicure in Nasty Pink (pretty similar colour compared to Laneige Flair Magenta) which I like to pair with the Dior Lip Maximizer on top because I like the glossy look. This isn't quite as perfect as the Laneige one, but the things I like about the Lipnicure is that they have a series of really fun and bright colours (not quite enough as I wish they come out with more) and once the colour sets on your lips, it just wouldn't move anywhere.

The things that I don't like about it is that it is SUPER DUPER DRYING to your lips that it would hurt (for me at least), so I'll have to make sure that my lips are very much moisturised before applying. The colour sets too quick so you better not make any mistakes either.

Other than that, the colour looks really cute and I still love it very much!

So that is it for my current lippie favourites that exist only because I fell into the celeb endorsement trap. Anyhoo, wearing or buying lipsticks heals my soul and mind in a very special way, so I'm glad I got into this, not quite for my wallet, but I'm glad.

Talk soon, bye!
